  • 1 bag of rice flour

*** When insert a chopstick in and it comes out clean then it is done.

*** Use a bit of oil to fry the rectangles on both sides until golden brown and crispy.
*** Add 3 sliced scallions. After that, add 3 beaten eggs. Break up the egg a bit and stir-fry so the rice flour absorbs the sauce.

Two popular Vietnamese Street Food in Thanh Da Market are Fried Chicken with Boiled Broken Rice and Grilled Pork with Vermicelli. Most Vietnamese, especially young people really love it. It not only is cheap, but also is delicious.

This is the main place for selling of Thanh Da people. In market, there have many food stores. They are really cheap but I have to admit that the flavor is delicious as well. And for me, fried chicken with boiled broken rice and grilled pork with vermicelli are most amazing.

This food store stays at the main street of market. There always have many customers come to eat. Chicken Meat is marinated by fish sauce, sugar, honey. It is the secret recipe of store. Clean Sweet Snails. Boil Oil, add minced garlic to fry until its color turn brown yellow. Next, add sweet snail and a little tamarind sauce into pan together. Fry about 5 – 10 minutes. Next add a little fish sauce and season to suit your taste. Continue fry until the sauce becomes thick. Turn off the heat and you can serve it. Remember, use when it is hot is better. Eating with Vietnamese Mint Leaves will bring to you a unique flavor from this ingredient.

Most young Vietnamese people fall in love with this dish. The process for making it is really easy. Clean Snails, next steam them about 5 minutes. Then turn off the heat, throw away water and wait to get cold. Next step, add a little salt, chili powder and necessary seasoning for this dish into pan, roast about 2 – 3 minutes, season to suit with your flavor and add more snails into pan, roast more 5 – 10 munite to absorb all seasoning. And finally, you can serve it.

The ray dishes now become a popular street food in Vietnam, but I think the best way to enjoy it is coming to some beach cities like Vung Tau, Nha Trang, Long Hai, Da Nang.moreover, the best time for enjoying it is from January to the end of March of lunar calendar.

However, As I know, there are 3 main ways for cooking ray fish. Let us find out:

It is the easiest way of making rays but it is extremely delicious. All you need is a hot coal and some guise leaves. Putting the rays into the leaf and then put them onto the hot coal to grill. You just wait not more than 10 minutes to enjoy. The dish is tastier, if the rays are seasoned some ingredients, garlic, chili and lemongrass. The dishes are more fantastic if you drink some Vietnamese wine like Đế wine, Chuối wine. Some restaurant usually grilling the ray in front of the door to attract the customers, it is the reason this dish belongs to the Vietnamese Street Food.

Cooking curry is easy, you only need eggplant. The eggplant is cut into small parts which are similar with the size of rays’ part. Curry’ rays is also a low price dish, you could eat it with rice or noodles. The fisher man like eating the ray curry due to it has good smell.

Rays hot pot is one of my interests Vietnamese street food whenever travels to Vung Tau and Mui Ne. The flavors of rays are different with different vegetable and ingredients. In my opinion, the broth of rays is excellent when adding river leaf or tamarind due to it becomes sour and attracts the taste.

One more street food in Vietnam is Goby Fish. Goby fish is living mostly at the Southwest Vietnam, especially in Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau and Can Tho. However, you can easily buy it from any market in Vietnam. When processing the fish, you just rub it slightly by lemongrass leaves in some minutes and then clean it by fresh water. One remember thing, do not take off any pieces inside or outside of goby fish because all of them are good to eat. Goby fish can be cooked into four main dishes:

This type of dish is considered as a popular dish in south family meals. The fish are tastier when combined with pepper and chili and mixed with herbs, cucumber. This dish is served with hot or cold rice is still delicious.

This dish is the most popular street food and it is also my favorite food. The hot pot is usually cooked with one more favorite flavor of Southeast’s people which is River Leaves (La Giang). When the broth is boiled, the live fish will be added into the pot. You have to keep the pot carefully, because the fish will turn and struggle strongly to get away the boiled water. After the fish does not move, it is time for eating. You can add vegetables into the pot like spinach.
